Mary Catherine Bonner, P.A., (Kate) runs a sophisticated, boutique law firm with one to one relationships–which usually turn into life-long friendships–with her clients. - If only bad things have happened in the lower courts, you may wish to ask the Supreme Court of the United States to review the matter. Since there are both initial petitions which are not as extensive as merits’ briefs, Ms. Bonner will structure her compensation so that the petition carries one price and, if certiorari is granted, the merits briefings another. You want someone who has gone through that process many times–both petition and oral argument as the lead counsel.
It is little known, but attorneys can try or take on state cases in other states with the approval of that state’s bar and sometimes with a local counsel as second chair.
